As well as everything else small business owners will have to worry about in the coming year or two, there is the added burden of the new Labour governments unfair dismissal provisions of the Fair Work regime. From July 1, 2009 businesses with 15-100 employees (by total headcount..includes casuals, part and full time) will no longer be exempt form unfair dismissal laws as they were under the previous Howard government.
